Pastoral Letter 17 April 2020
Dear Friends,
Easter greetings! May we all experience resurrection power and share resurrection hope especially at this time in our world.
With the extension of the lockdown, we will continue to provide video streaming on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/BergvlietMethodistChurch every Sunday at 09h00. If you are not able to view the video at that time, it will be available to view at any time after that.
If you do not have access to Facebook, you can also view the videos on our YouTube channel
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCt5aW2PctEXyA6GEi0B0hPw The videos will go live on Sundays at 09h00 and remain up for viewing any time after that.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me with urgent needs or prayer requests on 0828231766 or minister@bmchurch.org.za I will do my best to assist where possible.
I am working with Community Action Networks in our Circuit to ensure that those most affected by the lockdown, especially those that have lost income and need basic food supplies, are cared for. If you would like to contribute to these efforts you can make a donation here https://www.quicket.co.za/…/103252-steenberg-retreat-and-…/…
I have also been appointed to a Synod Crisis Task Team that seeks to equip our whole Synod (District) to deal with the effects of the crisis.
I can assure you that even though we may not be able to “do church” in the way we are used to, the church is still very active and alive. We are people of Resurrection!
If you are able to continue supporting the ongoing ministry of the church please feel free to contribute financially. If possible please make use of online banking payments (EFT’s). Our bank details are:

I would like to assure you of my ongoing prayers for us all as we navigate our way through these very scary times and remember, God is with us every step of the way.
Grace & Peace
Steven
