Dear friends,
Last week you would have received a letter with a link to a survey about in-person worship. Thank you to those who have completed the survey. Please complete it here if you haven’t already https://forms.gle/Js8QPprxaaLbVavq7
If you are unable to complete the survey online, please contact the church office 0217153045 (09h00-14h30).
There is a lot to consider before we can reopen for in-person worship and our leadership is in the process of undergoing all the training and preparation necessary. We do not foresee being able to start services again until at least mid-October or maybe even November. We will keep you informed and understand all those who do not feel ready to meet in-person just yet.
Please note that we will do everything possible to continue with online services of some form even when we start physical services again.
There have been some queries as to why we are only able to accommodate 35 people per service. The latest Government regulations allow for up to 250 people to attend indoor gatherings provided that no more than 50% of the capacity of the venue is used and that persons attending observe a distance of at least one and a half metres from each other (Gazette No. 43725, 18 September 2020)
In order to comply with the physical distancing regulations we can only accommodate about 35 people. Only those from the same household are allowed to sit together.
It must also be noted that singing is prohibited and that masks must be warn properly at all times.
No tea and fellowship is allowed at this stage either so services will be very different when they do start again.
All those at high risk, with co-morbidities and those not feeling well are encouraged to continue to participate via the online services. More information about this will be circulated closer to the time.
We will keep attempt to keep you informed as we progress but please don’t hesitate to contact me or the church office for more info.
Please also keep us informed of any Pastoral needs.
Above all, keep safe and do everything you can to keep others safe too. We have made it through tough times before and with God’s help we will make it through this too.
Grace & Peace
Steven
